How to Lead a Happier Life:

How can you be happy if it seems that there is trouble all around you in your life?  Medical problems, financial troubles, difficulties with children or spouse, job problems...

It seems impossible that you can even get through all the problems, let alone find a small moment of happiness...

I am older than you, most likely, and I have gone through many types of problems.  Let me teach you some simple ways to bring some happiness back to your life.

First of all, you need to take a moment,  sit down and clear your mind of all thoughts.  After a few moments, begin to think of the good, positive aspects of your life.  This may sound overly simple to you, but try it.  You can start by thinking that it is wonderful that you have two arms, two legs, two eyes, and so forth.

Then remember that you have a good, working brain.  The most important thing you have is your good heart; you try so hard to help others, often putting your own interests last.  Ultimately, all this putting other people's interests before your own, slowly robs YOU of your emotional strength.

Sometimes you need to put YOUR best interests first.  The kids do not always have to have perfectly matched outfits for school.  Your husband does not always have to have a home-cooked breakfast. SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN a lot.  If you SLOW DOWN, you will have time to think about what YOU WANT FOR YOUR OWN LIFE.  No one else is like you.  You have your own individual talents. Probably you have not had the free time to develop your interests and talents.  START NOW TO THINK ABOUT HOW YOU CAN DEVOTE YOURSELF TO YOURSELF.  At least several hours a week, you need to be SELFISH and go inside your head to see WHAT YOU WANT TO DO IN LIFE. 

If nothing occurs to you at first, simply think about the things you have discovered you do well.  Devote time to developing those particular things that you like and that you do well. 

For example, if your routine is to get the kids off to school and then yourself and husband to work, you know that during the work day there will be almost no time to think about your private interests in life.  After you come home, you are busy doing the wash and preparing dinner.  All I am saying is BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE LAUNDRY OR DINNER, close yourself off from everyone for a little while.  Maybe in the bedroom; maybe in the garden, or home office.  Somewhere where you can be away from everyone for just a little while. 

What do you do then? You sit down and clear your mind of all matters.  Then think of what you are good at.  Figure out how to develop those particular skills.  Maybe one of your skills will turn out to be an internet business.   Or maybe you have always promised yourself to take time for proper skin care.  Do it during this secret time you are alone. Everyone has a certain shampoo they truly love.  Buy that for yourself alone.  No one else is allowed to use it.  It is for YOU.  Learn to do little things that make YOU HAPPY.  REWARD YOURSELF from time to time.  Learn to take a moment here and there to think about YOU.  Think about what YOU like to do, what products make YOU feel good.  Surround yourself with things YOU LOVE. 

Making time for YOU is the key.  Sure you get depressed.  Everyone gets depressed at times.  Build yourself up by taking time for YOU.  You are not robbing anything from your kids and husband or wife.  You are actually GIVING THEM a new, stronger YOU.  They want you to be happy, but the fact is you never take time to think about yourself.  You always put everyone else and everything else first.  STOP this today and find a few moments each day in privacy to think about YOU.  You will become stronger and happier, no matter what storms of trouble may surround you.
